Send a Kid to Camp, Get a Deduction

The City of Carlsbad’s Parks & Recreation Department is reminding residents looking for a year-end charitable tax deduction to consider giving to the Opportunity Grants program.

“Summer camps, dance classes, sports teams and swim lessons create lasting childhood memories, but some Carlsbad children miss out because their families can’t afford them,” said Bonnie Elliott, senior management analyst for the City of Carlsbad’s Parks & Recreation Department.
