The City of Carlsbad is offering a series of composting workshops for residents. Participation is free, but registration is required.

More Information Composting, nature's way of recycling, turns "organic waste," including food scraps, leaves and grass trimmings, into a valuable organic fertilizer. In these hands-on workshops, residents will learn: simple solutions for reducing waste at home, composting basics, vermicomposting basics, using a worm bin, as well as using compost in the garden. Attendees have the opportunity to win a free compost bin, or purchase one at a discounted price.
