February Holiday Activities

Carlsbad City Library is hosting special events for kids and teens to celebrate February holidays. Participation is free.

At a Glance

Below is the schedule of activities.

All February
Chapters for Chocolate
Teens, Grades 6 and up
Earn a chocolate bar by writing an online review of the book you are currently reading. Once you've submitted your review, visit the Dove or Cole Library Information Desk to pick up your reward. Earn two chocolate bars for two reviews.

Feb. 11
Valentine’s Day Tween Scene
Georgina Cole Library, 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive
3:30 p.m., Grades 4 – 6
Observe this week’s special day with a shock by making a card that lights up using copper wire and circuits. Stop by for fun and snacks.

Feb. 12
Valentine’s Day Story Craft

Feel the love at the library with stories and activities. Create your own sweet valentine for someone special.

Teens are invited to make chocolate covered strawberries at the Library Learning Center.

Happy Birthday, George Washington

Celebrate George Washington’s birthday with stories, activities and a craft. Find out whether the fable of the cherry tree is true, plus other fun facts.

National Tell a Fairy Tale Day
