AMPED Music & Arts Throwdown

The City of Carlsbad is collaborating with Carlsbad teens for the 2nd annual AMPed, a music and arts throwdown on Feb. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pine. The event will feature a music competition, student film showcase, art exhibit and more from local teen artists, ages 14-18. Check out the video of Amped 2019! Tickets are $5.

Pine Avenue Community Center

Teen programs are dedicated to providing teens with fun, creative and healthy activities in a safe, supervised environment. By taking advantage of opportunities to meet and socialize, teens create friendships that last a lifetime.

Teen Room Hours*

Monday - Thursday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

School I.D. required for teen room access. Parent supervision required for students 5th grade and under. * Room and gym access could be impacted by rentals or classes


Leadership in Training & Education is a program for Carlsbad 6th - 9th graders who wish to develop skills in leadership, teamwork, communication and community service. The program requires a commitment from participants to attend on a consistent basis. L.I.T.E. participants will also have the opportunity to attend enrichment classes, field trips and other service learning opportunities. Each month will focus on a different theme like the environment, history, health and goals. Students are escorted by City of Carlsbad staff, walking from Valley Middle School to Pine Avenue Community Center Monday - Friday. LITE is closed during school holidays.
