The program requires a commitment from participants to attend on a consistent basis. L.I.T.E. participants will also have the opportunity to attend enrichment classes, field trips and other service learning opportunities. Each month will focus on a different theme like the environment, history, health and goals. Students are escorted by City of Carlsbad staff, walking from Valley Middle School to Pine Avenue Community Center Monday - Friday. LITE is closed during school holidays.
