When to Use 9-1-1
9-1-1
9-1-1 is for emergencies only. Emergencies include immediate threats to life or property.
Examples:
- You are experiencing a medical emergency
- Someone is breaking into your home right now
- Your neighbor's home is on fire
Non-emergencies
Call 760-931-2197, when you need the police, but there is no immediate threat to life or property.
Examples:
- Your vehicle has been stolen.
- You are receiving threatening or harassing phone calls.
- You have been in a minor traffic collision, and no one is injured.
