Tuesday Afternoon Adventures presents Hands-On Archaeology: Air-Dry Clay Pinch Pots (Georgina Cole Library)

Perfect for Grades K-6. Dig into San Diego's unique history through storytelling, hands-on activities, and real artifacts with the San Diego Archaeological Center. Archaeology, the study of the ancient and recent human past through material remains, helps us understand how people lived in San Diego County for the past 12,000 years. Experience pieces of the past yourself at our bead carving and pot making workshops and dig even deeper in a lecture introducing archaeological principles, methods, and discoveries. These programs will support Native American Heritage Month by connecting patrons of all ages to the human history of the San Diego region.
