Experience an art project with family and friends! Participants will explore the process of envisioning a “scene outside their window” (real, memory, or imagined), inspired by the artwork of Brad Maxey, an exhibiting artist in the upcoming 2021 Cannon Invitational exhibit at the Cannon Art Gallery.

Join us to create your very own scenic scape!

Time: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Carlsbad Village Street Faire (Food Court)

Participants will:

• Study the artwork of Brad Maxey
• Explore new art concepts: monochromatic, translucent, layering and framing
• Use art materials to create an artist inspired view of the world around them

All materials are provided on the day of the event and are free!

These interactive arts experiences are presented by the City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office and are funded by the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts.
