You will Die at Twenty
Sudan, Drama (2019, NR, 1h 43m)
A moving meditation on what it means to live in the present, this film is an auspicious debut and Sudan's first Oscar submission. Shortly after Muzamil is born, a traveling sheikh prophesizes he will die at 20, which makes his mother, Sakina overprotective all his life. As Muzamil grows older and escapes Sakina’s ever-watchful eye, he encounters friends, ideas and challenges that make him question his destiny.
