The City of Carlsbad Fire Department recruits entry level and lateral candidates from the Fire Candidate Testing Center (FCTC) Statewide Eligibility List. Candidates with successful completion on the Certified Physical Abilities Test (CPAT) within the last six months and a passing score on the FCTC written exam within the last twelve months are encouraged to apply for our open recruitments. Testing events are held statewide.  Information on test requirements, dates and locations can be found at www.FCTConline.org.
